Mark your calendar for two days of family friendly fun on the historic Harrisonville Square! The Burnt District Festival will be held on October 5th and 6th of this year from 5:00-11:00 p.m. on Friday, and 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Parade

The parade will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, starting at Harrisonville High School. Listen to the HHS Marching Band’s Royal Regiment and watch the floats go by.

Flag retiring

If your American flag is worn, torn, faded or badly soiled, it is time to replace it with a new flag. Bring your flags that need to be retired to Boy Scout Troop 3 as they will be providing a flag retiring service.

Music

There will not be a shortage of music at the festival! Continuous live entertainment will be provided on the north stage and on Friday and Saturday nights, the Wall Street Reunion Garden will be open with music from 6:30-10:30 p.m. Don’t miss Bret Reece and Damaged Goods performing on Friday night. Dance, sing, tap your feet, or just sit back and enjoy the show!

Vendors

Walk around and browse the vendor shops that will be selling arts and crafts, and other goods and services! You just might find something that you can’t leave without! On Friday, the vendors will be open from 5:00-8:00 p.m. and on Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

 

Burnt District Queen Contest

The Burnt District Queen Contest is an opportunity for girls in grades 10-12 to win scholarship funds. For a $25 fee, girls will participate in a personal interview, a public speaking or talent performance, and a stage presence in an evening gown. The crowning will be at the HHS PAC at 7:00 p.m., where a Queen, First Runner-up and Miss Congeniality will be selected. Apply now!

Carnival and petting zoo

A carnival and petting zoo will be available on Friday and Saturday! Bring your little ones for all of the excitement. Kids of all ages will enjoy the activities!

Wine tasting

The DeLaney Vineyard and Winery will have a wine tasting in the Reunion Garden on Friday and Saturday from 5:00-6:00 p.m. Sip some wine from Nevada, Missouri and learn a little bit about the vineyard.

Baby Contest

Come and watch the baby contest on October 6th at 3:00 p.m. at the Main Stage on Harrisonville Square. Bring $5 and register your little one between 12:30 and 1:30 on the NW corner in front of the Vault. All proceeds go to Relay for Life.
